A Howling Lab can make the coldest of hearts melt..
We killed almost 200 miles today together cruising old haunts. Got "home" and spent three hours listening to Prairie Home Companion and Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me on the radio out in the garage. Life was good.
Or so I thought.
I put him in "our" room so he can eat and minutes later.. He's howling like a friggin Lone Wolf!
I shouldn't complain, we had a damn good day.

Mine doesn't howl, but we've fostered a couple that did. One howled in a near perfect imitation of a siren whenever he heard one. It was humorous the first few times, but living half a mile from a fire station it quickly became obnoxious when they had to answer calls at 2am haha.

Good on you for Fostering! I did a bit of that years back. We had 14 Black Labs at one point..
It can get crazy. I'm staying with family for one more week, "family" eats at 4pm and hits the sack at 8..
I'm on eggshells here.

Try howling back. It confused mine enough to shut him up.

I thought about that. I'm already walking on eggshells here. The less noise the better.

Nice! Skinny (aka American Field) Labs are getting rare.
All Labs like showing off..

14?! Haha, I can't stand more than 3 at once. Too hectic...especially since we always got aggressive ones due to our past successes.

It wasn't my choice and the county of DuPage changed a few rules thanks to me and the ex.
I had a few aggressive dogs. Usually they were Elderly or Pregnant.
Old Dogs are the best overall. They're so damn happy just to have someone to love them.
Jeez, I'm making myself tear up now.
